During harvest, it's important that only logs of a significant size are selectively taken. This practice leaves smaller logs to continue growing, allowing them to store more carbon and mature for future harvests. These younger trees also serve as crucial habitats and shelter for wildlife, birds, and provide much-needed shade for cattle grazing below, ensuring a thriving ecosystem.
